1 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow gram) , soaked for 30 minutes and drain
1 cup green peas
1 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
salt to taste
2 1/2 tsp peanut oil for greasing and cooking

- Soak them in enough water for 30 minutes.
- After half an hour, strain them and drain off the excess water.
- Transfer the drained moong dal in a mixer jar.
- Add the peas. We have not cooked them before adding. You can make use of fresh or frozen matar depending upon the availability.

- Add the coriander and ginger. If you have green-chiillie & ginger paste ready, then you can toss that in.
- Add 1 cup of water and blend to make a thick batter.
