Updates & Important Information
The process of transitioning AFCU accounts over to TFCU is underway! If your account hasn’t been switched to TFCU yet, here are some important reminders and updates as we continue the conversion process:
The following is the order in which accounts will be converted to TFCU;
- Loans: All active AFCU Loans will be moved to TFCU by May 15, 2024. Shares under the same account number may be moved at time of Loan.
- Savings Accounts: Those with only a Savings or Savings and/or Club accounts will be moved manually and without notice.
- Checking Accounts: If you currently have an AFCU Debit Card, you will receive a new TFCU Debit Card in the mail prior to your account being moved over to TFCU.
- All Account Types: You may receive 2 statements until your account has been fully transitioned to TFCU.
AFCU's Bill Pay System
As part of the transition to TFCU, AFCU’s Bill Pay system will be deactivated on Friday,June 7th.As a result, any scheduled or recurring payments set up through AFCU’s Bill Pay system will stop as of June 7, 2024.
To avoid any interruptions to your bill payments, we encourage you to enroll in TFCU’sOnline Banking& Bill Pay systems prior to June 7th.Once enrolled, navigate to the “Pay Bill” section where you can set up your payees and beginpaying bills.
In order to enroll in Bill Pay, you will need a list of your active payees. This can be found in AFCU'scurrent system until Friday, June 7th.

Debit Cards
We are happy to announce that TFCU Visa® Debit Cards are now being ordered to replace your current AFCU Mastercard® Debit Card.
Some important information to be aware of;
- Debit Cards will be mailed from our debit card provider in a plain white envelope with return address of 14 Church Grn, Taunton MA 02780. Please be aware that TFCU is not mentioned by name on the envelope.
- While these cards can be activated, your funds may not yet be available in the TFCU system. Once your TFCU Visa® Debit Cardhas been received, please notify us at either (508) 824-6466 or (508) 995-9100 so that we can ensure that your funds have been moved for you.
- If you have previously requested a TFCU Instant Issue Visa® Debit Card, please call or stop by the Acushnet Branch to pick it up.
All accounts will be fully merged into TFCU and your AFCU Mastercard® will be deactivated prior to June 30, 2024.
How do I report an AFCU ATM Card Lost or Stolen?
During regular business hours, please call(508) 995-9100.
After regularbusiness hours or on weekends, pleasecall 1-888-241-2510.
What is going to happen to my account?
Your account number will remain the same provided that a duplicate does not exist in the current TFCU system, otherwise we will do our best to provide a similar account number to you. Your account will still be insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
Will my Debit card still work?
Your debit card will work at the time of the merger until data has been converted over to TFCU. At that time, you will receive a new Visa® Debit Card with the TFCU logo.
Will current members of AFCU need to get new checks for TFCU or will they be acceptable until they run out?
As long as your account number is able to remain the same, your checks will be honored until they run out! Once they run out, you can order new checks with the TFCU logo and information.
Will my current loan with AFCU stay the same?
Yes, all current loan rates and terms will stay the same. All new loans will be processed through TFCU's current rates and terms.
